Ik dacht altijd dat Nepal alleen maar bergen was, maar deze reis liet me veel meer zien: een rijke geschiedenis, diepe spiritualiteit en vriendelijke mensen. De gids bracht plaatsen als Swayambhunath en Nuwakot Palace tot leven met verhalen. Onze chauffeur was betrouwbaar en respectvol. De accommodaties waren eenvoudig, maar altijd schoon en veilig. Ik heb vooral genoten van de traditionele architectuur in Bandipur. Pokhara was schilderachtig en ontspannend, en het wildleven in Chitwan was weer eens wat anders. Deze rondreis was het beste voor Nepal.

De hele reis was goed georganiseerd en verliep soepel. De sightseeing omvatte alle belangrijke hoogtepunten zoals tempels, stoepa's en culturele pleinen zonder dat het gehaast aanvoelde. De dagelijkse gidsen hadden kennis van zaken en legden alles in eenvoudige bewoordingen uit, waardoor de geschiedenis makkelijk te begrijpen was. De hotels waren schoon en comfortabel, met fatsoenlijk eten en goede service. De transfers waren punctueel en de chauffeurs waren voorzichtig op de bergwegen. Al met al een zeer evenwichtige en bevredigende reiservaring.
